OPENING OF THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “THE GALLERY OF A SINGLE PHOTOGRAPH”
The International Association “Euro Foto Art” (AIEFA) and Summit Agro Romania, in partnership with the Oradea Local Tourism Promotion Association (APTOR), continue to organize under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) new exhibitions of renowned photographic artists from Romania and around the world. In this context, photography lovers will be able to admire a new international photographic art exhibition, initiated by the photographic artist Volodymyr Norba, AFIAP (UA), director of the Exhibition Center of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) in Chinadiovo, Transcarpathia, Ukraine, an old friend of photographic artists from Romania. The opening of the international exhibition, organized within the framework of bilateral cultural exchanges between the Exhibition Centers of Oradea–Romania and Chinadiovo–Ukraine, took place on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 19:00, at the FIAP Exhibition Center, “Euro Foto Art” Gallery in the Princely Palace of the Medieval Fortress of Oradea (Building E, ground floor). The audience present at the event was greeted by the photographic artist Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, who shared his impressions regarding his participation in the opening of his personal exhibition at the FIAP Exhibition Center in Chinadiovo – Ukraine, located in the mysterious “Saint Nicholas” Castle. “We travelled to Ukraine despite the fact that the country is at war, in order to support this exceptional project. Despite the difficult situation in which Ukraine finds itself, I noticed that our presence meant a lot to the organizers of the exhibition. The atmosphere of this Gallery, where only a single photograph was exhibited, was truly unique!” stated the AIEFA president. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramona Novicov, art historian and critic, emphasized in her speech the importance of organizing this exhibition. “I appreciate the fact that the photographic artist Volodymyr Norba, AFIAP (UA), the initiator and manager of the project, did not give up and found a method adapted to the circumstances not to interrupt the continuity of photographic art exhibitions in Ukraine and to step forward with this original project!” The collection on display comprises 55 photographs by 27 renowned photographic artists from 22 countries: Leif Alveen, EFIAP/d2 (DK), Pedro Luis Ajuriaguerra Saiz, MFIAP, EFIAP/p (ES), Borbély Johanna Eszter (A), Virgilio Bardossi, MFIAP – EFIAP/d3 (I), Bikfalvi Zsolt, EFIAP/s (RO), Paul Bock FIAP (USA), Joan Burgues Martisella, AFIAP, HonEFIAP (AD), Adriana Durkáčová (Slovakia), Ahmed Mohamed Hassan, EFIAP (EG), László Kállay, EFIAP (HU), Klea Kyprianou, EFIAP/D3 (CY), Oleksandr Kovshun, EFIAP/s (UA), Ut Muoi Long Coc (VN), Ioannis Lykouris, MFIAP, HoNEFIAP (GR), Nora Maher (EG), Aydin Mehdiyev, EFIAP (AZ), Durba Mazumdar, EFIAP/d1 (IN), Volodymyr Norba, AFIAP (UA), Andrzej Potera (PL), Anatol Poiata, EFIAP (MD), Ovi D.
