THE OPENING OF THE EXHIBITIONS OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARTISTS FROM SLOVAKIA
The FIAP and EFA Exhibition Center in the Princely Palace of the medieval Fortress of Oradea (Building E) hosted last weekend the opening of the exhibitions of two photographer artists from the “Helios” Photoclub in Komarno (SK), a partner organization of the “Euro Foto Art” International Association (AIEFA). Both exhibitions were organized by AIEFA and Summit Agro Romania in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and Surroundings (APTOR). Each exhibition enjoyed the patronage of AIEFA and under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art, recognized by UNESCO. Both vernissages were attended by the authors and included a speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramona Novicov, art historian and critic.
The first vernissage – of the exhibition by photographer Milan Uhrin AFIAP, AZSF, entitled “The Rhythm of Life” https://eurofotoart.ro/expo-milan-uhrin-afiap-azsf-ritmul-vietii/ – took place on Thursday, July 30, 2025, at 18:00 in the “Matei Stegerean” Gallery. The large audience was greeted by photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, president of AIEFA and curator of the exhibitions, who praised the artistic and technical level of the works on display. “Rarely can you see two such valuable photographic art exhibitions together. It is clear that each photograph exhibited has been analyzed several times by the authors until the image reached its final form. It is commendable that both exhibiting photographers used post-processing with great refinement and sensitivity. It is gratifying that photographer Milan Uhrin AFIAP, AZSF is present in the exhibition with several exceptional photos taken in Oradea a year ago, on the occasion of the exhibition of the members of the ‘Helios’ Photoclub from Komarno in Oradea. I equally appreciate the works of photographer Martin Kucera, who is present with the exhibitions ‘European Circuit’ exhibited in the ‘Matei Stegerean’ Gallery https://eurofotoart.ro/expo-martin-kucera-sk-circuit-european-islanda-norvegia-si-slovacia/ and the second entitled ‘Dream World’ in the Ștefan Vilidár István Gallery https://eurofotoart.ro/martin-kucera-sk-lume-de-vis/ Both exhibitions showed us how beautifully one can draw with light.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramona Novicov, art historian and critic, emphasized in her speeches that “Although we opened two exhibitions by photographers representing two generations, it is encouraging that they collaborate in producing the exhibits. Although there is a difference in age, in both exhibitions one can observe the artistic maturity of the authors! The exhibited photographs have extraordinary stories behind them, which you can discover while viewing the exhibitions. I am delighted to participate in the opening of such outstanding photographic art exhibitions!”
After the two photographers thanked the organizers for the exceptional conditions created for organizing and opening their personal exhibitions in Oradea, the president of AIEFA handed the exhibiting photographers the EFA Patronage Certificates and later the FIAP Auspices Certificates, which arrived with a slight delay.
The musical moments of the vernissage were provided by viola artist Thurzó Sándor József, representative of the Sola Fide Community and Cultural Association (SFKKE), who performed several pieces from the Slovak, Romanian, and Hungarian repertoire. Both events were streamed online on the Facebook page of the Association https://www.facebook.com/FIAPExhibitionCenterOradeaRomania
The exhibited photographs can also be viewed on the screens of modern means of transport in Oradea, thanks to the protocol signed between AIEFA and OTL SA. The exhibition will remain available to visitors until August 20, 2025, on working days between 08:00 – 16:00, with free access for visitors!
