The “Partium House” in the city twinned with Oradea hosted, on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 4:00 PM local time, a workshop meeting of photographers from the Bihor-Hajdu Bihar Euroregion. On this occasion, the Vice President of the Carpathian Basin Hungarian Photographic Society (KMFT), photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, presented the activities of KMFT, which was founded two years ago. It is worth noting that KMFT, composed largely of graduates of the online course organized by the Carpathian Basin Institute in Szeged and the International Association “Euro Foto Art” (AIEFA) in Oradea, has offered its members several engaging activities. Members have participated with their works in numerous international photographic art competitions, achieving several awards and medals. It is also noteworthy that in 2024 a successful photography creative camp was organized in Királyszállás, and the annual members’ exhibition was inaugurated in Oradea (RO), Királyszállás, and Debrecen (HU), with plans to tour it at Magyar Házak Network Houses in Szeged, Kisvárda, Sopron, and Miskolc. This was followed by the opening of the KMFT annual members’ exhibition, organized in partnership with AIEFA under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), recognized by UNESCO. The exhibition was first opened on August 29, 2024, at the FIAP Exhibition Center Oradea – Romania, in the Princely Palace of the Oradea medieval fortress, on the occasion of Hungarian Photography Day, and later, on September 20, 2024. On this occasion, 98 photographs accepted and awarded at the KMFT members’ annual competition were displayed. After the opening in Oradea, the exhibition became itinerant in a reduced format of 70 photographs, which were showcased during the KMFT members’ creative camp and inaugurated in the “Hungaria” Café Event Salon in Királyszállás (HU). The large audience present at the event, including KMFT members from Budapest and Debrecen (HU), Sighetu Marmației, Oradea, Salonta, and Tăuteu, Bihor County (RO), as well as from Bečej (SRB), was welcomed by media expert Stanik István, professional director of the Magyar Házak Network, director of the Partium House, and vice president of KMFT, who appreciated the initiative of organizing the annual members’ exhibition as well as the achievements in its two years of existence. He also expressed gratitude for the excellent collaboration with AIEFA, which also organized the KMFT members’ annual exhibition. Next, photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, President of AIEFA and Vice President of KMFT, presented the context in which the first edition of the annual exhibition was organized and thanked the Carpathian Basin Institute in Szeged for its support in touring and presenting the exhibition in cities like Szeged, Kisvárda, Miskolc, and Sopron. Finally, professional photographer and artist Máthé András, president of the Debrecen Photoclub, appreciated the technical level and artistic diversity of the exhibits. The next exhibition opening will take place on November 8, 2024, at the Southern Hungarian House in Szeged. The event concluded with the screening of a documentary film by photographer and professional operator Jusztin László from Bečej (SRB) about the KMFT members’ creative camp organized from September 21 to 23, 2024, in Királyszállás (HU). Musical moments were provided by viola artist Thurzó Sándor József, representative of the Sola Fide Community and Cultural Association (SFKKE), who performed pieces from the Hungarian repertoire. The exhibition will remain open to the public in Debrecen until November 7, 2024, after which it will reopen in Szeged (HU).
