Opening on the national day of Romanian gastronomy and wine

The Centre for Culture and Civilization of Taste in the medieval fortress of Oradea (Corpul I) hosted on Saturday, October 5, the opening of the International Photographic Art Salon “Via, wine and the joy of living”, the awards ceremony and the launch of the homonymous album, published with the financial support of Summit Agro Romania, edited by “Euro Foto Art”, which can be browsed on the website of the Association: https://eurofotoart. ro/via-vinul-si-bucuria-de-a-trai-2024/ The photographic art exhibition organized by the International Association “Euro Foto Art” and Summit Agro Romania in partnership with the Association for the Culture and Civilization of Wine “Millesime”, under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (Recognized by UNESCO) was composed of the works accepted and awarded at the International Competition. All images can be admired in the galleries of the EFA Exhibition Center in the Princely Palace of the Medieval Citadel of Oradea (Hall E, ground floor) and on the website of the Association: https://eurofotoart.ro/concurs-national-traditii-si-modernitate-in-agricultura-din-romania/ The public present at the event dedicated to the National Day of Romanian Gastronomy and Wine was welcomed by the event’s host Dr. Eng. Patricia Maria Știrbu, president of the Agro Summit Romania and Balkans. “We want this event to be a royalty of autumn, of harvest, of photographic art, of vines and wine. An artistic regal in the spirit of the goodness of grapes and wine. Our meeting”. “For 27 years, Summit Agro Romania has been contributing to the development of Romanian agriculture with products and cutting-edge Japanese technology, conventional and organic plant protection products for all agricultural crops, including vines, for the rich and high quality harvests of the rich and high quality crops of the meadow lands in our area, which reach you, our farmer partners, with the help of our distribution partners. And because good wine is made from healthy, quality grapes, we will continue to support Romanian agriculture in the future with state-of-the-art products and technology for the protection of the vines. At the same time, we will also support other projects for viticulture, such as the education of the young generation of university consumers to know and appreciate Romanian wine, quality wine; the Wine Salon, which has become an emblematic national event in the field; wine competitions; the reconstruction of the old wine metropolis of Transylvania; the statue of a Romanian wine variety and others”, said the President of Summit Agro Romania. Dr. Dorin Popa, President of the Association for Wine Civilization and Culture Millesime, Oradea, said in his speech that “Life and wine are landmarks in time and space, which can be relevant to the joy of living. In this album and in this salon, we can discover them”. Owners of two representative wine cellars in Bihor County, Crama Corbuț and Crama Familia Darabont, partners of the event, Dan Corbuț and Sandor Darabont addressed a few words to those present: “Indeed, we are at a cultural event, but at the same time at an event where we will have the pleasure of tasting selected wines and tasting dishes prepared by specialists and very good chefs. I am convinced that you will find in your glasses what until 10 years ago in Bihor County we could rarely find. A quality wine, a fair wine, a good wine”, said Dan Corbuț. In his turn, Sandor Darabont, emphasized that he felt honored to be a partner at the event. “It is an honor for us that we have reached this level with our wines, not only in Bihor County, but slowly, slowly also at the national level. We are trying to do our best, quality and really to be able to show the potential of the area and the people we are surrounded with and to be able to carry on and show that Bihor exists and that you can make very fair wines and slowly, slowly to raise the county’s wines to the national level, where they belong,” said Sandor Darabont. Next, Tamás Tóth from London, UK, photographer and development manager of a reputed distribution company of the world’s most famous wines, was invited to speak. He thanked for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful photographic competition and he is committed to ensuring that good Romanian wines gain more and more recognition worldwide. In closing, the photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP AFIAP, ESFIAP, AIEFA President and Chairman of the Jury, thanked the awarded photographers and invited the audience to the event: Virgilio Bardossi EFIAP EFIAP, MFIAP from Florence (Italy), Tamás Tóth from London (England), Mészáros Ödön from Budapest (Hungary), Hős Norbert from Subotica (Serbia), Tudorel Ilie from Baia Mare and the people from Oradea Anca Adriana-Andrea, Morvay-Szabó Edina and Radu Gabor, who were presented with their awards. The evening was sprinkled with exceptional musical moments, offered by the violist Thurzó Sándor József, representative of the Community and Cultural Association Sola Fide (SFKKE), Florina and Florin Mariș Hinsu – lyric artists, teachers of the Department of Music at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Oradea, teachers of Canto who successfully approach, successfully, other styles, with a diverse and rich repertoire. Together with his parents, Ionuț Mariș Hinsu, a second year student of the same Faculty, who is a national Olympian in Classical Singing, delighted those present with his extraordinary performance. The international exhibition installed on the three Galleries of the EFA exhibition will be open to the visiting public until November 14, 2024, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, and the public access is free! The exhibited photos will also be shown on the screens of Oradea’s public transportation, thanks to the protocol between AIEFA and OTL S.A.
