The International Association “Euro Foto Art” (AIEFA) organized under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art recognized by UNESCO, between July 24 – 27, 2025, a new international photographic creation camp attended by photographers from Slovakia and Romania, led by its president, photographer Stefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP.
The official launch of the international camp took place at the “MaJel Rovás” Cultural Center in the center of Košice, also attended by the representative of the Consulate General of Hungary in Košice, First Consul Gris Emese.
The large audience present was greeted by the director of the Cultural Center, Mrs. Kovács Ágnes, who appreciated the fact that the chosen place for launching the International Creative Camp is the Cultural Center she proudly leads, where the annual exhibition of KMFT members entitled “Points of View from the Carpathian Basin” also takes place.
Next, the president of AIEFA and vice-president of KMFT took the floor, who, after presenting the international activities of the Association and the annual traveling exhibition of KMFT members (Partner Organization of AIEFA), thanked the “MaJel Rovás” Cultural Center and photographer and journalist Fábián Gergely, KMFT member from Pašková (SK), for the help in organizing the international photographic creation camp in Slovakia.
First Consul Gris Emese emphasized in her speech: “During the creative work of the photographers coming from different regions of the Carpathian Basin, a community is formed which, in addition to belonging to the unified Hungarian nation, is also united by the love for light and composition, and the power of visual expression. This is also proven by this exhibition. I hope that this creative camp will bring not only professional progress, but also friendships, new ideas, and joint plans for the future. I wish that each of us will find inspiration in the light of the city and the surrounding region, in the gaze of the people, and in the moments captured.”
At the end, the president of AIEFA and vice-president of KMFT presented Certificates of Excellence from AIEFA to the director of the “MaJel Rovás” Cultural Center, photographer and journalist Fábián Gergely, KMFT member from Pašková (SK), as well as to the representative of the Consulate General of Hungary in Košice.
During the camp, the participating photographers took part in several creative trips in Košice, Betler Castle in Rožňava, Betliar, and Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka, and decided to organize an international photographic art exhibition from the best images created during this occasion.
