Four Exhibitions Dedicated to International Women’s Day
At the end of last week, the International Association “Euro Foto Art” (AIEFA), in partnership with Summit Agro Romania, organized a large cycle of four photographic art exhibitions dedicated to International Women’s Day, transforming the exhibition spaces of the Oradea Medieval Fortress into a true tribute to femininity.
The series of openings began on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the EFA Exhibition Center – “Matei Stegerean” Gallery, in the Prince’s Palace of the Oradea Medieval Fortress, with the personal exhibition of Dr. Mirela Cacuci, a creative member of AIEFA. The event was attended by the author and a large audience and was opened by photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, president of AIEFA, who praised the initiative of organizing the exhibition and the artistic level of the presented photographs. In her speech, the exhibition’s author thanked the organizers for the opportunity and the audience for their warm and numerous presence.
The second, international exhibition, organized in partnership with the Museum of the Criș Country – Museum Complex, through the Oradea City Museum Service, was inaugurated on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the EFA Exhibition Center, “Mezey Lajos” Gallery within the Museum. The public was welcomed by museologist Dumitru Noane, who emphasized the importance of the event and applauded the initiative of organizing the international exhibition “Woman Seen by Female Photographers.” In his remarks, the president of AIEFA highlighted the exceptional artistic value of the works and the sensitive perspective through which female photographers from India, Italy, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Hungary captured the female universe through the camera lens.
From 12:00 PM, at the EFA Exhibition Center – “Matei Stegerean” Gallery, the third international photographic art exhibition, titled “The Charm of Woman,” was inaugurated. Organized under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), recognized by UNESCO, the exhibition featured 90 photographs of high artistic quality, created by photographers from the United Arab Emirates, Canada, India, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, Serbia, the United States, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Hungary. In his speech, the president of AIEFA emphasized: “Just an hour ago, we witnessed how sensitively and inspiredly female photographers captured the theme of Woman in the exhibition titled ‘The Charm of Woman,’ and now we have the opportunity to discover how male photographers can skillfully and elegantly convey the beauty and complexity of this subject.”
The cycle of openings dedicated to International Women’s Day concluded with the personal exhibition of photographer Alina Șandru, AIEFA creative member, who presented 41 works to the public. The artist thanked for the special opportunity to exhibit at the “Ștefan Vilidár István” Gallery, located in the Prince’s Palace of the Oradea Medieval Fortress.
At the three openings organized on Sunday, Dr. Eng. Dorin Popa, representative of the president of Summit Agro Romania, AIEFA’s official partner, also attended and spoke. He highlighted the importance of supporting such unprecedented cultural events in Oradea dedicated to International Women’s Day and extended congratulations to all women present.
During the openings, AIEFA Department Director, photographer Morvay Szabó Edina EFIAP, presented the authors of the two personal exhibitions with the Association’s Patronage Certificates. Musical moments were offered by students and teachers of the Oradea Arts High School, thanks to the goodwill of Deputy Director Nagy Gabriella. The artistic program included works by Ferenc Vecsey (“Valse triste”), Johann Sebastian Bach (“Prelude and Fugue”, WK I and WK II), Pál Járdányi (“Sonatina”, Part I), and Francesco Maria Veracini (“Sonata Prima”), performed by talented young musicians: Ferencz István, Jurău Izabella, Györfi Edmond, Gyulai Naomi, and Szakács Panna, accompanied on piano by Ferencz Mercédesz and guided by coordinating teachers.
At the end of the openings, the president of AIEFA presented each participating woman with a greeting card placed in an elegant envelope tied with a red cord, along with the printed program of the event. The authors of the two personal exhibitions were also congratulated and rewarded with bouquets of flowers by the president of AIEFA.
All openings were streamed online on AIEFA’s Facebook page, offering the general public the opportunity to participate, even remotely, in these events celebrating femininity through art. The exhibitions will remain open to the public until April 6, 2026: at the Oradea City Museum from Monday to Sunday, 09:00–17:00, and at the FIAP and EFA Exhibition Centers on working days, 08:00–16:00. Access to all exhibitions will be free!
Thanks to the partnership between AIEFA and OTL SA, the photographs will also be displayed on the screens of public transport vehicles in Oradea, bringing art closer to traveling audiences.
